SkinPen – Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)
Deeper skin renewal without causing surface damage and with minimal downtime can be achieved with SkinPen Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). SkinPen is the first FDA-approved medical micro-needling system in the world. It is also the only system FDA-approved for safely and effectively treating acne scars. In addition to treating acne scars, a SkinPen treatment is suitable for firming and smoothing the skin by stimulating fibroblasts, which produce collagen and elastin. It can also reduce or eliminate fine lines and refine pores through medical micro-needling treatments.
The SkinPen is more powerful, more precise and safer than ever before! In contrast to many other micro-needling systems, the needle depth can be adjusted on the needle itself and therefore never penetrates deeper or more superficially into the skin than set. In addition, the SkinPen is the only proven micro-needling system that allows for pure micro-channels to be created. This is something unique and the safety of the treatment is guaranteed.
How does medical micro-needling work?
With medical micro-needling, tiny micro-channels are created in the skin using very small, sterile needles that vibrate on the skin. During the treatment, the natural repair process is activated deeply within the skin, resulting in the production of new collagen (type 3) and elastin. This makes the skin firmer and fuller and the skin complexion more even, fresher and more radiant. Medical micro-needling is more effective and therefore provides a more visible result.
